Game Rules

General

  1. Rule Modifications: These rules were created with the agreement of the server administration. Any modifications to these rules are immediately effective and apply to all players.
  2. Stay Updated: Players must stay updated with changes to these rules. Ignorance of new rules is not a valid excuse for avoiding punishment.
  3. Consent Upon Registration: Upon registering an account, every player automatically consents to the current and all future rules.
  4. Abiding by Rules: Players must abide by these rules and report any violations to a staff member.
  5. Account Ownership: All accounts and their characters are the property of Hope Flyff.
  6. Donations: Donations are completely optional.
  7. Server Administration Rights: The server administration reserves the right to make decisions that go against these rules and to punish, warn, or reprimand players even if their actions are not explicitly described as prohibited in these rules.

Punishment

  1. Goal of Punishments: Our goal is to maintain a friendly and respectful community, and we strive to avoid imposing punishments unless necessary.
  2. Proportional Punishments: Punishments will always be proportional to the offense committed and will be meted out with a valid reason.
  3. Types of Punishments:
    • Temporary or permanent chat ban
    • Disconnection from the game
    • Temporary or permanent account ban
  4. Loss of Rights: During the time an account is under punishment, the player will lose all rights and privileges associated with that account.
  5. Individual Penalties: All penalties will be imposed individually based on the circumstances, evidence, and the decision of the team. For example, a player may be warned for monster theft, while another player may face a more severe punishment due to prior behavior.

Account Ownership

  1. Property of Server: All accounts and their contents are property of the server.
  2. Investigations: The server reserves the right to temporarily take control of accounts for the purpose of investigating a potential violation of the rules.

Social Interaction

  1. Encouraging Respect: The server encourages a peaceful, polite, and respectful social environment.
  2. Harassment: It is not allowed to harass, denigrate, provoke, or threaten any other player in any form of communication.
  3. Prohibited Content: Sharing or linking to any content that is pornographic, violent, racist, or damaging is prohibited in all forms of communication.
  4. Spamming: Spamming of any kind is not permitted.
  5. Monster Theft: Stealing of monsters is prohibited and should not be provoked by players in any way.
    • 5.1: All claims of monster theft must be accompanied by full context and chat logs.
    • 5.2: Insults by the victim of monster theft will be investigated on a case-by-case basis.
  6. Ambiguous Item Deliveries: Players should not insult others through ambiguous item deliveries via post, trade, or other means.
  7. Offensive Shop Names: Offensive or provocative shop names or other texts in the game system will be punished or warned.
  8. Server Administration Authority: The server administration reserves the right to make decisions and enforce punishments, reprimands, or warnings even if it goes against the rules.

Item Refunds Policy

  1. Player Responsibility: We do not provide refunds for lost items resulting from player responsibility, including:
    • Fraudulent trades
    • Accidentally selling or removing the wrong item
    • Selling an item for the wrong price
    • Using the wrong scroll and deleting the item
    • Missing upgrade scrolls
    • Loss due to in-game mail or guild bank
    • Account sharing
  2. Server Responsibility: We are not liable for item losses caused by server issues beyond our control, such as:
    • Rollbacks or server crashes caused by players
    • ISP connection problems
  3. Divorce Policy: If you choose to divorce your character, the waiting period to remarry will not be shortened.
  4. Vote Buffs: If you are unable to vote, we will not refresh your Vote Buff. To resolve this issue, try the following:
    • Press "CTRL + F5" on the Gtop100 Hope site before attempting to vote.
    • Reset your IP address or use a different browser.
    • Vote through mobile internet instead of a WLAN connection.

Staff Conduct

  1. Respect for Staff: All members of the community should treat staff members with respect, politeness, and honesty.
  2. Negative Commentary: Any form of negative commentary about the server administration or gameplay design will not be tolerated.
  3. Impersonation: Impersonating a member of the Hope staff is strictly prohibited.
  4. Personal Gain: Using claims of personal relationships with staff for personal gain will result in punishment.
  5. Staff Trading: Staff members are not permitted to trade with players. Asking for free items or in-game currency repeatedly may result in punishment.
    • 5.1: During beta testing, staff may distribute items in a controlled manner.
  6. Confidentiality: Team members must keep internal information confidential, including player tickets, team communications, and server settings.
  7. Leaks: Team members must not reveal upcoming server content through leaks.

Ingame Fraud

  1. Trade Verification: All players are responsible for checking items in the trade window before finalizing a trade. The server is not responsible for losses resulting from fraud.
  2. Deceptive Practices: Offering items at a high price that resemble a more valuable item with the intent to deceive other players is prohibited and may result in penalties or bans.

Account Sharing

  1. Risk of Sharing Accounts: Sharing accounts is done at your own risk.
  2. Account Damage Responsibility: If a shared account experiences damage or punishment due to illegal activity, the account owner is responsible and no refunds will be provided.
  3. Stealing from Shared Accounts: Stealing items from a shared account without permission is prohibited and will result in a lock on all of your accounts.
  4. Bans and Account Access: If a player is banned, all accounts with which they had access in the preceding days will also be banned.

Third-Party Trading

  1. Prohibited Trading: Trading or selling virtual goods for currencies other than in-game ones is prohibited.
  2. Third-Party Websites: Offering virtual goods on third-party websites or apps is strictly prohibited.
  3. Penalties: Any attempt at third-party trading will result in a permanent ban for both the seller and the buyer.

Bugs, Exploits, Third-Party Software, Duping

  1. Reporting Bugs: If you discover any bugs or exploits, report them immediately to a staff member through in-game chat, Discord, or a ticket.
  2. Exploiting Bugs: Exploiting bugs or errors will result in a permanent ban.
  3. Use of Automation: The use of programs or tools that automate any part of the game is forbidden, including botting and AFK farming.
    • 3.1: The "F-Tool" is allowed for use in dungeons to automate character abilities. Any other form of automation will result in punishment.
  4. Duping: Duplication of items through bugs is strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban.

Other Restrictions

  1. Circumventing Bans: Circumventing a permanent ban by creating a new account is prohibited. Attempts to do so will result in a permanent ban on the new account.
  2. Advertising: Advertising other games or servers is strictly forbidden.
  3. Voting Rules: Voting more than three times per day per person on GTOP100.com is not allowed. Violating this rule can result in a loss of vote points or a more severe punishment.
  4. Guild Siege and PvP Rumble: Any form of pushing in Guild Siege or PvP Rumble is prohibited, including:
    • Intentionally going AFK to grant others more PvP tokens/kills.
    • Entering with multiple characters and having them go AFK.
  5. Teaming in PvP Rumble: Teaming up with other players and not killing each other is prohibited.
